Markedfile Referral Program: 20% Off for Your Friend, a Free Month for You
Short answer: If you use Markedfile and know someone who needs to trace leaked files, you can invite them with your referral link from Profile menu > Referrals. They get 20% off their first 3 months on Starter, Pro or Business (or an equivalent one-time discount on annual plans), and you get one free month for each referred user who pays, once the 14-day refund window has passed.
Last updated: October 11, 2026. The Terms page is the source of truth if anything here differs.
How it works
- Open your profile menu in Markedfile and choose Referrals. The dialog is titled Give 20%, get a month free and shows your personal referral link.
- Share the link with a colleague, a client or another creator. Anyone who has to send files to several people (decks, contracts, photo packs, designs) is a good fit.
- They sign up through your link and pick Starter, Pro or Business. There's no code to type: the discount is applied automatically.
- You get one free month for each referred user who pays, once their 14-day refund window has passed.
Good to know
- On monthly plans, your friend gets 20% off the first 3 months of Starter ($9.99/mo), Pro ($19.99/mo) or Business ($49.99/mo).
- On annual plans, the discount is an equivalent one-time amount: $5.99 off Starter, $11.99 off Pro and $29.99 off Business.
- The Free plan stays free, and Enterprise is a custom quote. Video and API are included on Business and Enterprise only, so check the pricing page to pick the plan that fits.
- You can earn up to 12 free months per year.
- The 14-day wait exists so that refunds don't turn into free months.
- The referral discount doesn't stack with other offers. If you use the PRODUCTHUNT code, that offer applies instead of the referral discount.
- Self-referrals don't count.
Who it's for
If you already mark files before sending them out, you know the problem: when one copy leaks, you need to tell which one. A colleague with the same problem will get more out of Markedfile with a discount for the first months, and you get a free month for the introduction.

How much does my friend save? 20% off their first 3 months on Starter, Pro or Business, or a one-time $5.99 / $11.99 / $29.99 off on the annual plans.
Do they need a code? No. They just sign up through your referral link.
What do I get? One free month for each referred user who pays, after their 14-day refund window.
Does it work with the Free plan? The Free plan has no payment, so there's nothing to discount. The reward comes when your friend upgrades.
