Mark a copy
Upload an image, PDF, or other supported file and assign a private identifier. Download the marked copy. That is the file you share.
Personal use
For creators who send paid or exclusive images, and for anyone sharing private photos with a small circle. Markedfile is forensic watermarking: an invisible watermark on each recipient’s copy, then leak detection and leak tracing if that image gets out. The same mark is content protection and data leak prevention, and it is document tracking when the file is not a photo. File contents are not stored.
$0 · 5 active files · 6 months of detection
Paid or exclusive images sent to a buyer or a member. Private photos shared with a small circle. Each person can receive a copy tied to an identifier you choose.
Upload an image, PDF, or other supported file and assign a private identifier. Download the marked copy. That is the file you share.
The account stores the identifier, not the file. You can see each active mark and delete a record when you want the slot back.
Upload a copy or a screenshot. Leak detection looks for a surviving mark. Recovery is best effort and depends on the file and what happened to it.
Bytes are processed in memory and are not written to disk. The account keeps the identifier, the file name and type, status, and timestamps, plus a detection token while the file is active.
Prices are USD per month. Free, Pro, and Unlimited apply only to your Personal Workspace. Enterprise applies to one shared workspace, and a personal plan does not cover it. An active file is one whose mark can still be detected. This is a cap on active files, not a monthly upload quota.

An invisible forensic watermark is a mark embedded in a file so it is not meant to be noticed in ordinary viewing. You assign a private identifier — a person, a company, a deal, or a recipient — and Markedfile embeds that mark in a copy you can share. The mark is not the product name. If that copy later turns up, detection looks for the mark that belongs to the identifier.
File contents are processed in memory and are not stored. Your account keeps the metadata needed to detect a mark later: the identifier you assigned, the file name and type, the status, and timestamps. A detection token is kept only while the file is active. Stopping detection, deleting the record, or letting it expire removes that token. Passwords are stored as hashes.
Free is the Personal Workspace plan. It includes 5 active files. Each stays detectable for 6 calendar months from the time you mark it, clamped to the end of shorter months. Stopping detection or deleting the record frees a slot immediately. This is a cap on active files, not a monthly upload quota.
Free, Pro, and Unlimited apply only to your Personal Workspace. That workspace cannot be shared or invited into. Business collaboration uses a shared workspace on Enterprise. A personal plan does not grant files or invitations there. You can create a shared workspace without paying, so there is something to subscribe, but invitations and new marks on that workspace need an active Enterprise subscription. Enterprise is per workspace.
No. Recovery is best effort, and the confidence score is a heuristic. Images can often survive a crop, a resize, or recompression, but a heavily edited copy may not resolve. Marks in text files and ZIP-based packages, including Office files, are fragile. Markedfile does not promise that every leaked copy can be traced.
PNG, JPEG, and WebP images; PDFs, including detection from the rendered page rather than metadata alone; text files and ZIP-based packages, including Office files; and other binary files, which come back inside a marked ZIP. Uploads are limited to 20 MB. Images are limited to 16 megapixels. PDFs are limited to 200 pages, 4 million rendered pixels per page, and 32 million per file.
